Orchestra rehearsal on Sunday 16th June 2013

It was really good to see Nicholas Jenkins back in the conductor’s seat, after having spent two day in hospital last week suffering from pneumonia. Good to see you back at the helm, Nick!

Today the orchestra are sitting in the orchestra pit for the opera for the very first time. At the start of the rehearsal Rose explained the set up for the opera and how the Great Hall will look for the four performances of Macbeth.

Today was also the first time when that production team, Director Chris Rolls, Assistant Director Natalie Katsou and Designer Oli Townsend attendeed the orchestra rehearsal. Chris talked briefly about his vision for the opera and then the rehearsal began. It is great music and I can’t wait to hear the full opera!

Here are a few photographs of the rehearsal today.
